Cheese flavoured whole wheat baked sticks

Easy to prepare and without adding any chemical preservatives, these cheesy sticks are a healthy option for evening time snacks. Also, a great option to offer your guests during the festive time.

It is an eggless recipe. Bake in the oven or over a gas top, they are very crispy and tasty finger food. Rich in protein so, a good option for little kids too.

Can we bake them without oven?

Yes, I have baked these pizza sticks in the oven but they can be baked easily on the gas top too. Take a big vessel and preheat it for 5 minutes on a low flame and then place the baking tray inside and bake it for 10-12 minutes or till done.

These crispy whole wheat sticks have a mild cheesy and pizza sauce flavour. For a richer cheesy taste, add a little more cheese to the dough. Some other snack recipe you would like to try

Ingredients used

Whole wheat flour – Rich in fibre and nutrients, a good choice over all-purpose flour.

Cheese– I have used Amul’s processed cheese, Cheddar cheese is another option for this recipe. You can choose cheese of any brand of your choice.

Red chilli flakes– gives a spicy taste and colour. You can skip if do not want them spicy.

Pizza sauce– adds a flavour of pizza to the sticks.

Coconut oil– helps them to make crisp.

Cold milk- the addition of milk makes them more crisp and crunchy.
